Australia will host the first Global Nature Positive Summit at the
International Convention Centre in Sydney on 8–10 October 2024.

The Summit will accelerate collective action to drive investment in nature and strengthen activities to protect and repair our environment.

At the Summit, leaders will explore effective ways to realise global commitments under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The event will build understanding of changes required to systems and settings to value nature and address biodiversity loss.It will bring together leaders from government, corporate sectors, research and environmental organisations and Indigenous Peoples.

Ocean perspectives will be incorporated throughout the Summit. A healthy and resilient ocean is critical for a nature positive future. You will hear how ocean leaders from government, intergovernmental organisations, philanthropy and the private sector are charting the course for a sustainable ocean economy and nature positive ocean, and the challenges, needs and opportunities for blue finance.

The Summit is co-hosted by the Australian federal and New South Wales state governments.
